Our instructors are the best Long Island have to offer, trained in every discipline from Dressage to Equitation.
Dressage Trainer, USDF Silver Medalist & FEI Rider and stable owner, Elizabeth (Wick) Hotchkiss, has studied with international level trainers such as Christine Traurig, Carol Lavell, Patrick Burssens, Chris Hickey, and Julie Lyons Fink. Stony Hill Stables has been in the Hotchkiss family for 40 years and was started by Wick's mother Liz Hotchkiss.
Roiya Albert started riding at age 5. She rode in Hunter shows as a young rider and moved to Dressage in high school. Roiyas love of the sport influenced her decision to attend Meredith Manor International Equestrian School. Here she continued her dressage focus, along with some jumping. Since graduating, Roiya has worked for top riders in both dressage and jumping.
Emily Eggers started riding at the age of 2 with Wick Hotchkiss. Her teaching is based on the Gordon Wright system with emphasis on preparing both student and horse for the show ring in hunter-jumper equitation.
